Kvarts is one of best-known Norwegian folk music groups. Kvarts stands in the crossfire between the traditional and the experimental, playing a wide variety of instruments and expressing joy in music making. The group’s repertoire is mainly based on Norwegian traditional music but also draws inspiration from other music genres. The quartet’s combination of traditional music and newly composed material has become one of their trademarks. Since its beginnings, the group has aimed to continuously develop new concerts and musical projects.
