Erlend Viken Trio was recently nominated for a Norwegian Grammy Award for the record “Fete slåtta”.
On Hardanger fiddle, electric guitar and double bass, the trio plays folkjazz with a sound few have heard before—a sound based on Norwegian traditional music and inspired by improvised music, desert blues and rock. The trio has toured large parts of Europe, and they have gained many fans across genre boundaries through their energetic live performances.
